Awaziem in love with CD Leganes dreams permanent deal

 

Nigeria international Chidozie Awaziem is not only enjoying his loan sojourn with La Liga side CD Leganes, but is  indeed hoping that the loan deal could become a permanent one.

Awaziem who joined  CD Leganes from Portuguese side FC Porto in August last year, has featured in about 21 games for the side and confessed that it has been worth it so far.

The 23-year-old who was named in Gernot Rohr’s 23-man team for the two legged clash with Sierra Leone in the Nations cup qualifiers before the coronavirus put everything on hold, however said turning a loan deal into permanent deal will depend on the club.

“It all depends on how the season ends. If the club decides to extend my contract, we could do it. I feel comfortable here,” Awaziem told SuperSport

“It is one of the best leagues in the world and we will fight to escape relegation,” he enthused.

La Liga like other leagues across the globe have been put in the cooler till the end of April with league managers hinting that further extension could follow should the pandemic fail to crumble at expiration of suspension period.

The leagues are not the only ones affected as all Nations cup qualifiers and even Champions league matches have been put on hold.
