Nigeria Under 23 attacker, Taiwo Awoniyi has disclosed that they are willing to put their bodies on the line in their desperation to overturn the two goals deficit they had in the first leg of the Under 23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya today.

The Olympic Eagles lost 2-0 to the Junior Mediterranean Knights of Libya in Ben Guarden, Tunisia last Wednesday and they are in a race against time to advance to the next round of the qualifiers.
Speaking with SportingLife in Asaba, the Mouscron of Belgium forward hinted that they are aware of the implications of their elimination from the qualifiers and that they are ready to redeem their image at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba today.

“I was disappointed with the first leg result because we let ourselves down with our performance,” Awoniyi told SportingLife.ng.

“The coach( Imama Amapakabo) has been so wonderful to us and the only way we can pay him back for the good things he has done to us is to win well against Libya and qualify for the next round.
