Captain of the U-23 national team Azubuike Okechukwu has tipped the Super Eagles to beat Algeria in today’s semi-finals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations and qualify for the final of the competition holding in Egypt.
“The Super Eagles team has been very impressive so far in the AFCON competition which shows that we have a quality that can stand the test of time. We can also see that the team ha been improving in every game they have played.
“We can also see that both strikers and defenders have been scoring for the team which points to the fact that the team is blessed with great players. So I am confident of Eagles victory against Algeria in tomorrow’s (today’s) semifinals”, Azubuike told SportinLifeg from Turkey yesterday.
Azubuike signed a season long loan with Istanbul Basaksehir on Wednesday in Instabul Turkey.
