Ballon DÓr should go to Champions League winner–Aguero

Sergio Aguero reckons that the winner of this year’s Ballon DÓr should go to a player that features in the Champions League final.

In other words no player outside Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspurs who will be playing the final on June 1 deserves to be nominated for the award.

“I believe that, no matter who wins, the Ballon D’Or should go to a player involved in the UEFA Champions League final,”Aguero stated.

Aguero, was key to Manchester City’s title-clinching win against Brighton on Sunday

If things go Aguero’s way, players such as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Christian Eriksen or Virgil Van Dijk should opt to win it.

The awards’ ceremony is set to take place in December.
