Balogun, Etebo taste FA Cup action 

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun was in action from the beginning to the end for Brighton in the English FA Cup as they defeated Bournemouth 3-1 to advance to the fourth round of the competition on Saturday.

It was Balogun’s first FA Cup appearance having just moved to England from Germany where he was on the payroll of Mainz05 in the Bundesliga.

Following today’s victory, Balogun who has scored the fastest goal as a substitute this season has made nine appearances for Brighton across all competition.

Anthony Knockaert, Yves Bissouma and Florin Andone scored Brighton’s three goals while Bournemouth’s goal was scored by Marc Pugh in the second half.

Meanwhile Etebo Oghenekaro played all 90 minutes for Stoke City who drew 1-1 away to Shrewsbury Town .

Peter Crouch scored in the 78th-minute after Oliver Norburn had scored in the fourth minute of first-half
stoppage time from the penalty spot.

There will be a replay between both teams at the bet365 Stadium to determine who goes in the next round.
