Barca get knocks for messing up Slavia Prague dressing room

Barcelona have been criticised for leaving their dressing room in a dreadful state after their 2-1 win against Slavia Prague.

A video has emerged showing the remnants of the Catalan side’s visit discarded all over the floor and tables within Sinobo Stadium.

The clip starts with a wide shot of the dressing room with bottles, used strapping and plastic wrappers strewn everywhere

A close up of a table shows various bottles with different coloured liquids in, half consumed.

A team sheet and tactical instructions are torn up and left on the floor alongside the flip chart provided by the home side.

Some let their disgust be known on Twitter, with one writing: ‘Surely you show a little bit of respect by at least leaving the dressing room slightly tidy.’

Another thought the blame lied with the backroom staff rather than players and a third simply wrote ‘speechless’.

Barcelona’s refusal to clear up their mess is in stark contrast to the Japanese side at last year’s World Cup.

After being knocked out against Belgium, the team left the dressing room in pristine condition and even left a thank you message.

Lionel Messi and Co appeared to have made a swift exit from Prague after picking up a somewhat fortuitous win.

An early score from the Argentine was cancelled out by Jan Boril’s goal before a Peter Olayinka turned one past his own goalkeeper against the run of play.

Slavia Prague had 24 shots on goal compared to Barcelona’s 13 but it was the Spanish champions who came away with three points to top Group F.

Despite the outcome, perhaps the European giants will reconsider the poor light in which the club is painted when leaving the dressing room.
