Barcelona are losing patience with De Ligt

Ajax centre-back Matthijs de Ligt has yet to make up his mind with regards to his next destination and Barcelona are starting to get frustrated with the way he is handling the process.

The Blaugrana have already reached an agreement with the Eredivisie champions for a signing that will cost them 75 million euros and they presented their final offer to the Dutchman four weeks ago.

At the beginning, Barcelona were optimistic concerning the transfer, but that enthusiasm has turned into pessimism and frustration as the board expected the player to be clearer.

De Ligt has made clear that he wants to move to a team where he will be regarded as a starter and both Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have officially expressed their interest in his acquisition.

The Catalans consider the 19-year-old as their future pillar in the defence, but they are disappointed with his hesitancy.

Should De Ligt decide to move to another team, Barcelona are not prepared to go after any other centre-back as the Dutchman is the main and only target for the back line.
