Barcelona MOCK Man Utd with Messi tweet after victory
BARCELONA took to Twitter after their Champions League win against Manchester United to spite their opponents.
Lionel Messi struck twice under 20 minutes to give the Catalan outfit a 3-0 aggregate lead before half-time.
A strike from Philippe Coutinho in the second half sealed Barca’s passage to the semi finals.
After the win, Barcelona posted a photo of Messi with the ball on its Twitter account.
The post was captioned: “Messi’s at the wheel. #WeColorFootball,” clearly relating to the famous ‘Ole’s at the wheel’ United song often chanted about Solskjaer on the terraces.
Fans of Barcelona and other English clubs responded positively to the post in the comments section.
But United fans won’t be happy after watching their side lose for the fourth successive away game.
Ex-Manchester United player and now TV analyst, Owen Hargreaves claimed Messi’s outing was ‘one of the best’ he has ever witnessed.
