BATTLE OF SINGAPORE (OCT. 13): NFF tells Rohr to focus on his job

Super Eagles Chief Coach Gernot Rohr has been directed to talk less to the international media on his contract with Nigeria which is subsisting till June 30, 2020, in the interest of peace.

Disturbed by Rohr’s recent penchant of reeling out shortcomings with his contract which have been addressed by the sports minister in different fora with chieftains of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), a top government official established contact with Rohr urging him to face the daunting task of modelling a new Super Eagles, which the government chief informed the coach had begun with the splendid 2-2 against Ukraine at the Dnipro Arena on September 10.
Not much was divulged to Sportinglife.ng about what transpired beyond this terse statement: ”I have tried to talk to him in the past two days to shut up. I will make sure we settle his demands.”
Indeed, the invited Eagles stars are expected in Singapore on October 9 from where they will be conducted through a recovery training in October after the long-haul trips from Europe where they plied their trade for the various clubs over the weekend.

Real training for the Brazilian game begins on October 11 and 12, where the players will undergo close-circuit training sessions aside rehearsing team tactics to be adopted against the Samba Boyz behind closed doors on October 12, according to the Rohr’s prorgammmes which is available with Sportinglife.
