The Chief Coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr disclosed this to SPORTINGLIFE from his base in France yesterday in an exclusive chat.

The Franco-German football tactician disclosed that he would wait till after this weekend matches before he would then finalize on the list. He said that he still wants to monitor some players and ascertain their fitness level before deciding whether to include them in his list or not.

Players like Lille’s striker Victor Osimhen and Bordeaux of France winger Samuel Kalu were recently injured and recuperating. Rohr has been monitoring these players who are Super Eagles’ first team players and would want to have them in his team for the two important 2021 AFCON qualifiers.

Rohr has also tipped neighbours Benin Republic a tough nut to crack and Lesotho a strong team to play on away soil a reason why he would like to parade a very fit and very strong Eagles squad in the AFCON qualifiers.

“The list will be done in the beginning of the week,  after the Sunday games have been played”, Rohr told SPORTINGLIFE from France yesterday.
