Bayern rule out Lewandowski exit amid Chelsea speculation

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has insisted that Robert Lewandowski will stay at the club for at least the next two years, ending the speculation surrounding a possible summer exit.

The Poland international has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, with the Blues seemingly identifying the experienced striker as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland.

However, Hainer has said that the 32-year-old “will honour his contract” at Allianz Arena, and the forward could even spend longer with the Bundesliga giants.

“Firstly, in my opinion, Lewandowski is best striker in the world. We are so happy that we have him in our team. He still has two more years on his contract,” Hainer told Goal.

“He will definitely play those with Bayern Munich. I said it already a few weeks ago – I could imagine him staying with us for even longer. He will honour his contract. He will definitely play the next two seasons here in Bayern Munich.”
