Bellingham shoves Camera as Dortmund blows it

Jude Bellingham was visibly emotional as he pushed away a TV camera after Borussia Dortmund missed out on the Bundesliga title.

Edin Terzic’s side began the day with a two-point lead over Bayern Munich, but could only draw 2-2 with Mainz on Saturday.

They did mount something of a fightback after being 2-0 down inside 25 minutes, but Niklas Sule’s 96th minute equaliser came too late for the hosts to grab what would have been a title-clinching winner.

Having taken an early lead in their game against Koln, Bayern were made to sweat when Dejan Ljubicic equalised from the penalty spot with 10 minutes remaining.

Jamal Musiala put the visitors back in front in the 89th minute to confirm the win and another Bundesliga title for the Bavarian side.

The top two both finished with 71 points, but Thomas Tuchel’s men had a significantly better goal difference.

Bellingham looked moved after the final whistle, as he held his shirt to his face before pushing away an approaching TV camera.

The 19-year-old’s third season in Germany has been his most successful date, with the England starlet scoring 14 goals in 42 games across all competitions.

He may now have played his last game for Dortmund after being heavily linked with Real Madrid.

Recent reports have suggested the move could be announced next week, with Bellingham expected to cost the Spanish giants £100 million.

Dortmund maintain they have received no proposals for the midfielder, but Marca claim a deal has been agreed in principal and Real were waiting for the German title race to end before making an announcement.

Bayern’s victory on Saturday means they have now won 11 Bundesliga titles in a row, and a record 33 in total.
