BEST FIFA FOOTBALL AWARDS: Musa picks Messi, Rohr goes for Mbappe
Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, and head coach, Gernot Rohr were not on the same page as regards who should win the Best FIFA Football Awards in the Men’s Category.
According to the voting breakdown released by FIFA, Musa went for eventual winner Lionel Messi with Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohammed Salah following in that order.
In the case of Rohr, he voted for PSG forward, Kylian Mbappe, Virgil van Dijk and Eden Hazard coming second and third respectively.
In the Women’s category, Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby voted for USA international Megan Rapinoe, Henry Amandine, and Ertz Julie in that order which was won by Rapinoe
Falcons forward Desire Oparanozie agreed with Dennerby when it came to picking Rapinoe but chose Alex Morgan and Sam Kerr as her second and third choice respectively.

Nigeria media representative, Christian Okpara who also participated in the process voted for Rapinoe, Wendie Renard and Alex Morgan while for the men picked Sadio Mane, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Virgil van Dijk.
