Bike accident kills Niger Tornadoes defender

The Management of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Niger Tornadoes are bereaved following the death of defender Hussaini Isah.SportingLife.ng reports.

According to information made available on the club’s twitter handle, Isah who just returned to the team from suspension was hit by a reckless motorcycle rider on Monday evening along Maitumbi road, in Minna, Niger State. He was later confirmed dead at the State General Hospital.

“With sorrow heart, we painfully announce the sudden exit of our dedicated and humble defender Hussaini Isah, who lost his life this Monday evening.

“He was later confirmed dead at the state general hospital. Hussain Isah will be buried this evening according to Islamic rite. We pray that Allah Almighty grant him Al-Jannah Fridau (Amin). An official statement will be released by the management of the club after the burial,” the club wrote on their Twitter handle

The player who has been buried according to Islamic rites is the second player in the NPFL to lose his life in an accident this year after the death of Pillars defender Chinedu Udoji in February.
