Bolt urges Solskjaer to build team around Pogba

Retired sprinter Usain Bolt believes Paul Pogba is still Manchester United’s most important player despite reports linking the midfielder with a move away from the club.

Juventus set to sell four players for Pogba

Pogba scored 13 goals and created three assists in the Premier League this season, and was included in the PFA Team of the Year.

In spite of this he has received criticism from some quarters for an alleged poor attitude and lack of effort, and has been strongly linked with a move to either ex-club Juventus or Real Madrid this summer.

But Bolt, who has often spoke of his dream to play for United, has given his support for Pogba ahead of the Soccer Aid match he is due to play in at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Bolt said: “Pogba is a friend of mine. I am a massive fan of his. They need to build the team around him. That is what I personally think.

“If you watch him when he is at Juventus and for France, he is outstanding because he has good strikers and good people who know how he plays and how he runs off the ball. He is a great passer.”

Bolt also rejected criticism of the player’s personality, emphasising that his performances on the pitch are the most important thing.
