Bournemouth striker Defoe eager to extend Rangers stay

Bournemouth striker, Jermain Defoe, is eager to extend his stay with Rangers.

Defoe is ready to commit to Rangers next month. The former England striker is in great form in Scotland and is ready to sign up for Rangers once his Bournemouth contract expires.

“I’m still on loan so my situation is different to theirs,” he said.

“But hopefully it will be sorted and I can enjoy this season and we can achieve something special together and then I can look forward to next season.

“It’s a special club to play for. Since I’ve been here, I’ve not thought about going anywhere else. It’s a massive club.

“Obviously the manager and those at the club have made it clear that they want me to stay. From day one, the appreciation from the fans and the people around the training ground and at the club since I’ve been here has been amazing.
