Bournemouth stun Chelsea 4-0

Chelsea suffered their worst league defeat since 1996 as Bournemouth stunned the Blues 4-0 at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Joshua King scored twice as Bournemouth beat Chelsea 3-0 at Vitality Stadium.

A second consecutive league win for Bournemouth sees the Cherries move up to 10th in the table, while Chelsea drop to fifth by virtue of scoring fewer goals than Arsenal.

Chelsea were the better team in the first half but could find a way past a resolute Bournemouth defence.

And Eddie Howe’s side began to play more expansively in the second-half and were rewarded when Josh King slammed home an opener from David Brooks’ pass.

Brooks then got on the scoresheet himself as he pounced on a mistake from David Luiz with King getting his second with another fine finish.

Substitute Charlie Daniels completed the rout with a flicked header in stoppage time.
