Breach of rules: Watch your back England warn erring players

Tammy Abraham, Ben Chilwell and Jadon Sancho broke coronavirus restrictions last week

Nigeria born England international Tammy Abraham and his younger teammates have been told to hold discipline in high esteem if they are to continue playing for the Three Lions.

The riot act was the outcome of senior players meeting with the entire squad at the St George’s Park to discuss the importance of discipline following recent breach of rules.

Captain Harry Kane, reiterated the responsibility of representing the country and the need to be above board and an example for up and coming players to follow.

Tammy Abraham, Jadon Sancho and Ben Chilwell remain absent from the England camp after they breached coronavirus regulations by attending a party at Abraham’s London flat on Saturday night.

Although Abraham has apologised for the birthday party that was loud in London, many feel there is need to get the boys to obey instructions to the letter.

Only recently England duo of Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood were sent home from Iceland for breaching quarantine rules inside the team hotel.

Gareth Southgate is said to be furious about the latest breach, and in his welcome meeting with the players on Monday, spoke about what is expected of them when they are high-profile England players. The players were further warned on social media activity, being in the spotlight and observing strict rules in and around the camp while on England duty.

It is thought that Southgate has become increasingly angry that five of his players in the last month have now fallen foul of coronavirus rules.
