BREAKING: Arsenal win Premier League after city draw

Arsenal have finally won the Premier League title after Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth.\

The Gunners needed Andoni Iraola’s side to get a positive result against City on Tuesday to secure their first top-flight title in 22 years, and the Cherries obliged following a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium.

It means Mikel Arteta’s men have sealed the title with one game to spare, and will lift the trophy after their final game of the season at Crystal Palace on Sunday.Eli Junior Kroupi scored the opening goal of the game before Erling Haaland equalised in the final minutes of the match at the Vitality Stadium, which set up a nervous final few moments of the match.

The result means Arsenal now have an unassailable four-point lead over City going into the final day of the season on Sunday.

Arsenal’s bid to win the Premier League has been building for a number of years, with the Gunners finishing second in each of the past three seasons. They fell short against City in 2022/23 and 2023/24 before finishing the campaign behind eventual winners Liverpool in 2024/25.
