BREAKING: Man Utd confirm Ronaldo’s transfer

Manchester United have confirmed that the club had reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.

Cristiano, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has so far won over 30 major trophies during his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven league titles in England, Spain and Italy, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.

The English offered Ronaldo a two-year deal which Sky Sport Italia reported worth €18m per season, including various bonuses.

CR7 landed in Lisbon this afternoon with his private jet, so if there are to be any medical tests, they are likely to be held in Portugal ahead of his international duty.

After he had been close to Manchester City, who refused to pay a transfer fee, it represents a return to Manchester United, where he had already played from 2003-09.
