The lucrative new deal means the 33-year-old has opened another page in his career, alongside another in his cheque book.

Although the Turin giants plan on formally announcing the deal in the coming days, the mind-blowing terms of CR7’s contract have already been reported.

Earning AU$5,431 an hour means that the Portuguese superstar can earn up to AU$43,448 during an eight-hour sleep. Not bad.

Ronaldo’s obscene earnings throughout the years have seen him rank highly on Forbes’ Highest-Paid Athletes list.

He ranked third on this list in 2018, just behind fellow footballer Lionel Messi and boxer Floyd Mayweather.
