C/League: Genk Crash out despite Dressers,Onuachu effort

 

Nigeria international Cyriel Dressers was on target Tuesday  as Genk went down 2-1 to Shakhtar Donetsk in the second leg of their two legged Champions league clash.

Dressers stared along with compatriot Paul Onuachu who was equally impressive and was in action for entire duration of the match.

Dressers came in as substitute in the 68th minute of the match and grabbed a goal for his side on the dot of 90 minutes.

Unfortunately the goal was coming late with Genk already two goals down.

Shakhtar had shot into the lead in the 27th minute thanks to Burkinabe import Lassina Traoré. The hosts increased the tally in the 76th minute through Marcos Antonio.

Tuesday’s result means that Genk has crashed out on 4-2 aggregate having lost the first leg by the same margin. The Super Eagles duo will have no option that to turn attention fully to the local league.
