CAF Champions League Qualifiers – Lobi fall in Cameroon

Lobi Stars of Makurdi on Wednesday failed to get their CAF Champions League campaign on a good note after going down by a lone goal to USM de Loum of Cameroon in the first leg in Yaounde.

A solo effort from USM’s Jean Abadan in the 64th minute after the visiting team had survived the first half now seperates both sides ahead of the return leg scheduled for the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi next week Wednesday.

Lobi need two goals to advance to the next round of the tournament.

USM who were making their debut in the elite tournament piled so much pressure on the Lobi defence and were unlucky not to have increase the tally.

Lobi on their part should have equalised and possibly gone ahead through Alex Aghahowa and Samuel Kadiri but somehow they both failed to find the back of the net.
