CAF shifts Nigeria, Sudan qualifier to September

Confederation of African Football has moved the final round of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture between Nigeria and Sudan to September.

The first leg was originally scheduled for June 5 in Omdurman while the return leg would have held four days later in Nigeria.

According to the team media officer, Sharif Abdallah, the first leg will now take place on September 2nd, while the return leg will come up on September 10.

Nigeria defeated Libya 4-2 on aggregate to qualify for the final round while eliminated Kenya 2-0 on aggregate.

Egypt will host the junior Nations Cup from November 8-22 that will determine the three countries that will represent Africa at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Nigeria won the last edition in Senegal ahead of the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
