CAF unveils official ball for WAFCON 2022

CAF has unveiled the official match ball for the forthcoming African Women Nations cup WAFCON holding in Morocco.

The tournament’s match ball’s strong identity is made of colours filled with symbols related to football.

The WAFCON in Morocco from 2 – 23 July 2022 promises to be an energetic wave of energy and excitement as Africa’s elite women’s footballers battle it out for the title of queens of African football.

It represents the values of unity, progress, challenge, initiative, diversity and experience that has characterised the growth of African women’s football to reach the lofty heights it occupies today.

The WAFCON takes place in the Moroccan host cities of Rabat and Casablanca and kicks off on Saturday 2 July at 21h30 when hosts Morocco face Burkina Faso at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat. The most successful team on the continent the Super Falcons of Nigeria will be eyeing their 12th title with eleven titles already in the kitty since the championship made a debut in 1991

The Randy Waldrum tutored side will begin their group stage campaign against Bayana Bayana of South Africa on July 4th,tackle Botswana on July 7 and round off the group stage with tie against Burundi on July 10.
