CAFCC: Enyimba’s win over ‘formidable’ Al Ahly Benghazi thrills Osho
Enyimba head coach Fatai Osho is excited with how the People’s Elephant tarted their CAF Confederations Cup Group phase campaign after coming out tops in Aba.
The Nigerian club defeated Al Ahly Benghazi 2-1 at the Enyimba international stadium on Wednesday.
Austin Oladapo gave Enyimba the lead with a trademark long range effort in the 9th minute.

But the visitors levelled up through Abdallah Imhamed, from the penalty spot, after Anthony Omaka committed a foul in the box.
On loan striker Victor Mbaoma had the final say as he netted the decider for the hosts some minutes after the hour mark.
“I am happy with the win, even if we scored 10 goals there will always be room for improvement, we did well in this hot weather. We played against a formidable team with good character, playing as a unit helped us,” said Fatai Osho in his post-match presser.

“We could have scored more than two, our conversion rate is still poor compared to the huge number of scoring chances we are creating in games. We will work on that. We can now focus on our next game in South Africa.”
Enyimba currently top the group with three points after the tie between ES Sétif and Orlando Pirates ended in a barren draw.
