Carabao: Brentford boss lauds Canos, Onyeka over victory against Lincoln

Brentford boss, Thomas Frank, was happy with their Carabao Cup win against Lincoln City.

The Bees came from behind to win 3-1 thanks to three goals in the second-half.

Frank said: “We actually came out with a lot of energy, lots of running and effort, but we did not have enough quality. We were not so much in sync and it’s a combination of me switching nine players. I believe in them all, but I also changed the system, so it helps to strike the right balance.

“We then switched back in the second half and put on some of the more experienced players, and after the second half we deservedly moved on.”

Sergi Canos and Frank Onyeka came on after the break, and they were, among other things, a strong contributing factor to Brentford turning things around.

“That, and the fact that we changed the system back to 3-4-3, helped, and then the players got more in their proper places. Sergi did well and had a nice assist at the end, and then Frank won a lot of duels and brought more calm,” added Frank.
