CASH FOR SHIRTS Rohr denies selling Eagles’ stars

Gernot Rohr has vehemently denied reports that he allegedly cajoles Super Eagles’ players into signing contracts with a France based agent known as Mr. William in exchange for a regular place in the national team.

Gernot Rohr cash for shirts
It was alleged that William acting as a front for Rohr usually woos players to sign contracts with his management team with the aim of getting a mouth-watering commission whenever such Eagles’ stars move to another club.
Apart from the cuts from the lucrative deals, the players are assured of regular shirts in the national team with our source alleging that no fewer than six senior stars have signed the dotted lines for the agent.
Those who refused to sign such contracts are allegedly stripped of their regular places in the squad until they have a rethink and join the bandwagon of players managed by William’s firm in France.
However, Rohr has dismissed the allegation as baseless and unfounded though he admitted knowing William whom he claimed started managing the players in question after they joined the national team.
”There is an agent called William based in France. Most of these players mentioned were already in the Super Eagles before they joined his management team.
”These boys are close and they discuss what their management teams offer amongst themselves and they convince themselves to change management teams for better offers.” Rohr said in a response he made through the Eagles’ media officer, Toyin Ibitoye.

”For instance, Anderson Esiti who was named in the list of players that purportedly signed the contract with William’s management team was not included in the squad for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho. Is it that his payment has expired and Mikel Agu who just returned to the Eagles has just renewed his subscription” he asked in a rhetoric manner.
