Genk Coach Felice Mazzu has warned Eagles duo Paul Onuachu, Stephen Odeh and their teammates to ensure 100% concentration ahead of today’s Champions league clash with visiting Liverpool.
Mazzu who opined that Liverpool are tough but more dangerous with Mohamed Salah on parade, reminded his boys that they are playing with one of the best teams in Europe and as such must up their game.
“When a team like Liverpool take 25 points from 27 and play the way they do, I think they are one of the best teams in Europe, probably the best,’
‘Klopp makes Liverpool dangerous. We know they score easily with three, four or five strikers with a lot of speed.
‘They have a lot of players with maturity; they have a high press and like to play at one end of the pitch. We must be attentive,” he warned
While coach Mazzu will be hoping that injured Salah stays off the match, strong indications abound that the Egypt international who returned to training on Tuesday may be thrown into the clash at the last minute as he was in high spirit during training Tuesday.
Genk settled for a goalless draw against Napoli in their last Champions league outing but have played two matches since then winning one and losing one. Both Onuachu and Odey were in action against Royal Excel Mouscron in the Belgian league early this month with Onuachu on target in the 90th minute.
Liverpool won 4-3 against Salzburg in their last Champions league outing and have recorded four wins in their last five matches with only one draw against Manchester United. The Reds will be eager to continue their winning party against Genk.
