Champions League: Tottenham 3-0 Dortmund: BIG Win for Spurs

  • Tottenham 3-0 Dortmund
  • Son on target again (47)
  • Vertonghen volleys home second (83)
  • Sub Llorente heads third (86)
  • Sancho starts, Reus out
  • Foyth in five-man Spurs defence
  • CL last 16 first leg

Spurs were well off the pace in the first half, but three unanswered goals after the break means that fans can start to think about who they could get in the quarter finals for the first time since 2011.

Dortmund were much the better side in the opening 45 minutes, but they were listless after the interval as Spurs ran riot late on.

Vertonghen was the hero with one brilliant assist and their second goal, with Spurs’ defensive effort, keeping out that away goal, just as vital.

Still the away leg to come on March 5, but Dortmund will have to pull something special out of the bag to turn this around.
