CHANGE OF DATE: NFF chiefs bow to Eagles over South Africa trip, to depart Thursday

Sportinglife.ng can reveal exclusively today that Super Eagles’ players request to chieftains of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFFF) that they want to arrive in South Africa on Friday morning has forced a change in travelling date from the hitherto announced Friday November 16 to Thursday November 15 in the evening.

Sportinglife.ng hinted on Monday that the team’s Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr pleaded with his employers for a change in traveling date to Thursday to allow the players train on the FNB Stadium’s pitch, 24 hours before the game on Saturday in Johannesburg.

Sportinglife.ng confirmed this Rohr’s request by contacting the NFF President Amaju Pinnick to find out if he would consider it since the trip will be aboard a chartered flight from Asaba. Pinnick replied the message thus: ” Working on it.”
