Chelsea prodigy Broja ‘has completed’ his season-long loan to Southampton

Southampton have reportedly beaten Udinese to the signature of Chelsea wonderkid Armando Broja.

The Blues starlet striker, 19, is set to spend the 2021-22 season at St Mary’s.

And the starlet’s new five-year Chelsea deal will see him remain at the club until June 2026.

Broja, who spent the last term on loan with Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, is thought to have wowed Stamford Bridge and Saints officials with his performances in the Eredivisie.

The player, who joined Chelsea’s Under-18s in July 2018, notched 11 goals and three assists in 34 appearances across all competitions last term.

And the forward helped Arnhem to a fourth-place finish in the Netherland’s top tier last season.

It thought Romelu Lukaku’s £97.5million impending move to Chelsea could lead to limited first-team chances for the youngster this season.

Southampton, who play Everton in their first Prem game this weekend, have already added two former Blues players to their ranks.

Tino Livramento, 18, and Dynel Simeu, 19, both joined the Saints on permanent contracts this summer.

Liveramento signed a five-year deal with Southampton – which included a buy-back clause – who are thought to have paid around £5million for the highly-rated right-sided midfielder.

And Cameroon-born centre-back Simeu is thought to have swapped Stamford Bridge for Saint Mary’s in July in search of first-team opportunities.

Southampton, who finished fifteenth in the Prem last season, are looking for replacements for Danny Ings following his Aston Villa move.

The club are reportedly on the hunt for another forward in addition to Broja.

And it is claimed the club are confident of sealing a £15million plus add-ons deal for Blackburn forward Adam Armstrong.

SunSport revealed Rovers have accepted an offer that could rise up to £20million for the striker who netted 29 goals in all competitions last season.
