Chelsea set €30m price-tag on Tomori’s transfer

Chelsea are prepared to give Fikayo Tomori to Milan on loan with option to buy for €30m, according to  Sky Sport Italia.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time a deal between these clubs has been scuppered because of a disagreement over the cost of an option to buy at the end of the season.

Tomori has become the main candidate now for the defence, after multiple reports in Germany and Spain that first choice Mohamed Simakan had agreed to join RB Leipzig from Strasbourg.

That transfer was also abandoned because Simakan had knee surgery that will keep him out for two months.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio this evening, Chelsea are ready to let Tomori join Milan on loan with option to buy for €30m.

That is too high for the Rossoneri, who are trying to negotiate it down.
