Chelsea sign 2 players from non-league senior football after successful trials

Chelsea have signed two players from non-league senior football.

Striker Jayden Wareham has signed a professional contract with the Blues after leaving non-league side Woking.

Wareham, 17, has been on trial with Chelsea for the last two months.

He has made 22 career appearances for the Woking first team, making his debut aged 16 on New Year’s Day 2020.

The teenager most recently played in Chelsea’s under-18 match against Arsenal on Wednesday.

Chelsea have also signed defender Declan Frith.

Frith, 19, is described by Chelsea as a “versatile defender who operates mainly on the left”.

Frith’s last club was Welling United, who play in the sixth tier of English football.

He had been on trial with Chelsea since February.
