Chelsea strip midfield trio of squad numbers

Three Chelsea midfielders have been told to take a walk after they were stripped of their squad numbers.

Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley have been told in plain terms that they have overstayed their welcome.

The Athletic reports the threesome have all been instructed by Thomas Tuchel to ‘organise moves elsewhere’ this summer.

And to further demonstrate they have no future in West London, none of the three players have even been given a squad number.

If the three midfielders can be offloaded then it would improve an already successful window for Chelsea.

They have registered a net spend of just £1.5million so far this summer.

There are strong indications that more players will be forced out the Stamford Bridge as Thomas Tuchel continues his reign. Already Nigeria born England international Tammy Abraham is on the verge of joining Inter Milan.

Compatriot Fikayo Tomori had earlier joined AC Milan and will be facing Tammy in the future when Inter and AC Milan clash.
