Chelsea targeting three centre-backs to replace Christensen, Rudiger

Chelsea are eager to secure replacements for Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, should they fail to sign new contracts.

Both players are key for manager Thomas Tuchel, especially in games where he plays a three-man central defensive unit.

According to Eurosport, Chelsea have several defenders who may not renew their deals, including Cesar Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva.

If the club loses Rudiger and/or Christensen, they will look at one of three players to secure in the summer.

The names on their list are Jules Kounde from Sevilla, who they attempted to sign last summer.

Another is Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus, with Villarreal’s Pau Torres the third defender they are taking into consideration.
