Chukwueze ready to prove self after Eagles call-up

Villarreal striker Samuel Chukwueze has expressed his appreciation at the opportunity to play for the Super Eagles in forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on November 17 and the international friendly against the Cranes of Uganda three days later.

Chukwueze has played for Nigeria at the U-17 and U-20 levels and was a member of the Golden Eaglets that won the FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile in 2015 and the attacker told SportingLife.ng that he is thrilled that he has been invited to showcase what he has to offer for the Eagles.

“I am happy to be invited for the Eagles’ upcoming games and I am determined to prove my worth to the Eagles handlers. It has been my lifelong dream to one day play for the Super Eagles and I am happy that it has materialized,” Chukwueze told SportingLife.ng.

The former Diamond Academy of Umuahia player has scored four goals for the Villarreal B team and has played a few games for the Villarreal main team in the Europa League.
