Chukwueze vows: Lille’s Osimhen ‘ll destroy Valencia’s might

The fear of Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen is the beginning of wisdom for the Spanish side, Valencia in the UEFA Champions League duel tomorrow, according to Super Eagles star,Samuel Chukwueze.

Lille will be banking on the Nigerian to make amends for back-to-back defeats to the likes of Ajax and Chelsea when they host Valencia at their Stade Pierre-Mauroy tomorrow.The Les Dogues need to pick up all three points from the match if they are to keep their hopes of booking their place in the Champions League knockout stages alive.

Chukwueze said he believes in his national teammate to deliver for Lille as he has described him as ‘Complete striker with an eye for goals’.

Chukwueze and Osimhen had been representing Nigeria right from their U-17 days , with the pair winning the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup together.

Both players are also part of the Super Eagles squad that won the Bronze medal at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, as they continued their development.

However while Chuckwueze is currently on the book of Spanish La liga side Villarreal, as Osimhen is making waves for his new French side Lille Metropole who are set to take on Spanish side.

“He is a great player, he has a lot of speed and [eye for] goal, he reads [the opposition] very well. He is a very complete forward,” Chukwueze told Spanish online news outlet, Superdeporte.es.

Osimhen scored his maiden UEFA Champions league goal in Lille’s 2-1 home defeat to Chelsea in match-day two.
