Competition in Chelsea is fierce for Moses, says Michael Essien

As there are indications that former Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses may be dumping Chelsea when the transfer window opens next week, former Chelsea star, Ghana’s Michael Essein believes the fierce competition in the London club would make it hard for the Nigerian to command a shirt.

However, the legendary Ghanaian midfielder is not ruling out a possible exit for Moses.

Already, Moses has been linked with Crystal Palace, West Ham as well as Wolves but it is certain that the ex-Wigan star would quit Stamford Bridge.

”Every player wants to play. Chelsea isn’t an easy place to come and the competition is very fierce,” Essien said. ”At the end of the day, all the players work but it’s the manager who will pick who he wants to play.
This season under Italian tactician Maurizio Sarri, Moses is yet to start any league match alongside midfielder Danny Drinkwater and Denmark international Andreas Christensen, with possibilities of these players to move to other Premier league clubs.

Essein added: “When you’re not playing you get frustrated and you want to look elsewhere. It’s up to them really but they have to keep working and then everyone gets their chance.”
This season under Coach Sarri, Moses has made only two appearances in the English Premier League for Chelsea.
