Conf cup playoffs: Rangers to battle Bantu of Lesotho in January 11

 

Rangers international have been drawn against Bantu FC of Lesotho in the 2nd round of 16 play offs of the CAF Confederation cup.

The flying Antelopes who were very impressive in the phase of their campaign, will play the first leg of the two legged tie against Bantu between the 11th and 13th of January at the Setsoto Stadium in Lesotho while the second leg will be played January 18 at the Nnadmi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu.

Gor Mahia of Kenya who were edged out of the Champions league by Lobi Stars have been pitched against New Star de Duala of Cameroon.

Gbenga Ogunbote tutored Rangers have remained in high spirit since picking the ticket to fly the nation’s flag in the confederation cup. The team continues to make a sing song of their Never Say Die attitude will be hoping to sail past lesotho challenge in the new year.

The players had been handed a six days holiday to go and celebrate the Christmas but are sure to reconvene to begin training especially with their next opponent now known.

In the CAF Champions league Lobi Stars have their hands full as they are drawn against Wydad Athletic of Morocco, Asec Mimosa of Cote d Ivoire and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa in Group A.
