Conte explains why Luiz won’t play against Spurs

Ahead of Chelsea’s important clash against Tottenham on Sunday, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has confirmed David Luiz isn’t ready to play.

Conte revealed the Brazilian would be unavailable for at least three weeks.

“David Luiz is out, at least for around another three weeks,” said Conte.

“He’s recovering from a problem in his knee. The solution would be to play Cahill in the middle but we will try to recover Christensen.”

Conte also confirmed Ethan Ampadu is out for the rest of the season.

“Ampadu is injured and unavailable for the rest of the season,” Conte added.
