Continental Assignment: Rangers woo Ethiopian Airlines

After successfully winning this year’s Federation Cup thus clinching the CAF Confederation ticket, Rangers international have started strategising with a view to posting a hitch free campaign.  The flying Antelopes who edged out Kano Pillars 4-2 on penalties in a nail biting final that produced a record two dozen  goals at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, are not only beefing up technically for the battle ahead but also exploring business opportunities as direct dividend from the impressive achievement.

As part of the beefing project management of the club on Tuesday held a business interactive session in Enugu with Ethiopian Airlines. The club’s top management team was led by former international and General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of the club Prince Davidson Owumi, while the Sales manager of the Airline Solomon Mekonnen graced the occasion.

Easily one of the biggest Airlines in the continent, Rangers no doubt will need a partnership that lasts the distance as they jet around in honour of match fixtures when the competition gets under way. Meanwhile fans of the Coal City Boys can hardly wait for November 16 when the club is expected to hold a victory parade on the streets of Enugu. Players and officials of the team we gather will parade in open-top busses to give fans opportunity savour the joy of the moment.

The November 16 show will be the second victory parade for the Flying Antelopes in three years after celebrating the Nigeria Professional Football League title in 2016.

Two Nigerian club sides will be on parade when the CAF Champions league and Confederation cup battle of supremacy begins.  While Lobi Stars who emerged champions of abridged premier league will compete in the Champions league, Rangers will slug it out with opponents in the Confederation Cup.
