Copa Italia: Tyrone Ebuehi fires Venezia into the next round

Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi was the hero after converting the winning penalty to send Venezia to the next round of Coppa Italian at the expense of Frosinone FC on Sunday.

The former FC Twente star was playing his first official match for the Serie A new Boys since arriving on a season long loan from Portuguese giants Benfica.

He was handed a starting role by coach Paulo Zanetti and he played the whole 120 minutes at the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo.

Tyronne Ebuehi started in the home team’s defence alongside Mattia Caldara, Pietro Ceccaroni and David Schnegg and they were all fantastic in the game.

Both teams failed to find the target, as the game ended goalless in regulation time, but Mirko Gori broke the deadlock for the away side in the 93rd minutes.
