Real Madrid visit Viktoria Plzen and Santiago Solari is set to reveal his choice between the goalposts in the Champions League.

Both keepers have featured so far under the new tactician – Keylor Navas in the Copa del Rey and Thibaut Courtois in LaLiga Santander – and after Tuesday’s training session, everything will remain open for the upcoming game.

The Argentine didn’t reveal his chosen one in the last session, as his decision may be a turning point for the remainder of the season.

According to Los Blancos’ former coach, Julen Lopetegui, having two quality goalkeepers isn’t a problem, but rather a blessing.

Upon his arrival, he decided on Navas in the Champions League, because he was the team’s shot-stopper during their last three trophies and due to the support he receives from inside the dressing room.

With two goals conceded in the first three games, the Costa Rican welcomed the Spaniard‘s decision and it remains to be seen whether Solari will continue with the same strategy.

On the other hand, the Belgian was Real Madrid‘s superstar summer signing and there were certain whispers coming from the board, when he was benched in the beginning of the campaign.

There is also a belief that using different goalkeepers in the two tournaments will bear negative results, as they will lose their confidence.

The decision has been already taken by Solari and it will be announced along with the starting line-ups before Wednesday’s kick-off.

So far, Courtois has played nine LaLiga Santander games, while Navas has featured in seven matches in total, including three in the UCL, two in the league, one in Copa del Rey and one in the Spanish Super Cup.
