Crash: Woods ex-girlfriend Vonn sends message of support

 

Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn, tweeted a message of support to the legendary golfer after his car crash on Tuesday.

Woods was rushed to hospital after being involved in a horrific car accident in Los Angeles.

The golfing icon hit a road sign before veering over across the opposite lane and hitting a tree.

First responders were forced to use the ‘jaws of life’ to cut him out of the Ranger Rover, which had been rented to him for a week.

Woods was rushed to hospital and underwent surgery on his legs, with authorities confirming he had ‘non-life threatening injuries’.

The incident sparked an outpouring of support from throughout the sporting world, with countless messages sent over social media.

And Vonn, the ex-girlfriend of Woods, was one of those to send a message to the 45-year-old.

The skier, who dated Woods for three years before a split in 2015, posted to Twitter: “Praying for TV right now.”

The County Sheriff’s department confirmed Woods’ car had sustained “major damage”.

A statement from the Sheriff’s department read: “On February 23, 2021, at approximately 7:12AM, LASD responded to a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes.

“The vehicle was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard, at Blackhorse Road, when it crashed. The vehicle sustained major damage.

“The traffic investigation is being conducted by investigators from LASD Lomita Station.”
