Cricket:’ We have used T20i Tournament to Improve our Facilities’

President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation ( NCF) Uyi Akpata has revealed that the just concluded women’s T20i Invitational Tournament has played a major role in the development of facilities in the countr.

The Nigerian team at the Tafawa Balewa cricket oval in Lagos defeated the defending champions Rwanda by nine runs to win the tournament.

While speaking on the tournament, the president acknowledged that the tournament has helped improve the facilities across the country.

“We have better facilities now, we now have seven turf crickets from zero about four years ago”, he said.

This year’s edition featured Ghana, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, and host Nigeria.
