De Gea on  Juve 3-man shortlist

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is one of the three players Juventus is targeting during the winter transfer.

The contract of the Spain international with the Red Devils is set to expire at the end of the season and there are no clues if United will be interested in extending his contract.

United have the option to extend that by a further 12 months, but a failure to agree fresh terms before next summer could see them forced to cash in on their star asset in order to avoid losing him for a cut-price fee – or even for nothing – the following season.

This is where Juventus who are in the market for a World Class keeper have stepped in after De Gea expressed concern over United’s ability to challenge for trophies.

Juve want De Gea to give former Arsenal shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny currently number one in Turin a stiff competition.

Juve have won the Serie A title seven years in a row, the Coppa Italia four years in a row and established themselves amongst the favourites for Champions League success.

Juventus are also thought to be considering bringing both Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves and James Rodriguez, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid.
