Desperate Man Utd tabled contract offer to Ronaldo

Manchester United have tabled a contract offer to Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Ronaldo is the subject of a £17million-a-year offer from his old club this summer – and Paul Pogba could head the other way to Juventus if the two sides can strike a deal.

The future of Portugal star Ronaldo is likely to be one of the biggest sagas of the summer window, with reports across Europe claiming that he is angling for a move out of Juventus after a tough season.

PSG are his preferred option, but with no deal having yet been offered from the French giants, United are said to have swooped with a tempting proposition for their former player.

United are willing to pay Ronaldo £17m-a-year to bring him back to Old Trafford, and with Pogba’s situation at the club unclear, there could be scope for the Frenchman to go the other way as part of the deal.
