Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has explained why he has continued to overlook Midtjylland of Denmark striker, Paul Ebere Onuachu, despite his rich form for club.

The Eagles Manager told SportingLife.ng that he left out the lanky forward for now due to injury.

Rohr said the player would be considered if he recovers on time and continues to bang in the goals for his club before the start of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

“Paul has not played any matche since 9 February, (2018). Maybe he has a long term injury”, Rohr disclosed to
SportingLife.ng from his base in France on Wednesday.

The Eagles handler has always insisted on searching for more quality and tested players that could make his team stronger for the World Cup. He has also told SportingLife.ng that he would continue to search for players to improve in all the departments of the team most especially the attack.

“We are still ready to take someone really stronger than the ones we have. Each weekend we are monitoring a lot of players with our scouting team”, Rohr told SportingLife.ng recently.
