Different strokes for Cape Verde, Burkina Faso
Blue Sharks of Cape Verde and Stallions of Burkina Faso file out later tonight in their second match of the ongoing Nations Cup in Cameroon.
Cape Verde won their first match against Ethiopia but the Burkinabes were not that lucky losing the opener 2-1 to hosts Cameroon.
The Blue Sharks and the Stallions have met six times in World Cup qualifiers and friendlies respectively but this will be their first time at the Nations Cup
In those six meetings Cape Verde have won three lost two and drew one. They were low scoring encounters but it was the Stallions that went on goal harvest against the Blue sharks on November 14 2017 with a 4-0 thrashing in world cup qualifier.
So tonight’s encounter will be the 7th in the series while the Stallions will be playing catch up, the Blue Sharks will be seeking consolidation.

Going into the game after a loss the Stallions are not likely to take it easy which implies that Blue Sharks who are going into the game with three points in the kitty, will need to perhaps ‘swim faster and attack harder’ if they are to overcome a stallion squad that will be desperate to avoid back to back defeat.
